Hi, my name is Lydia Shu.

I am currently a postgraduate at SOAS University of London reading Chinese Studies, having just graduated from the University of York with a BA in English Literature and Politics. I also work as a freelance journalist, focusing largely on writes that revolve around music, the arts and social issues.

Publications I have written for include music magazines HeadFirst4Music and Circulation, Singaporean newspapers The Straits Times and The New Paper, current affairs magazine Broader Perspectives, and campus newspaper Nouse.

In my free time, I dabble in photography, graphic design, video editing and coding. I am proficient in English and Mandarin Chinese, and am currently learning French and Malay.
