Hi, my name is Lydia Shu.
I am reading a master’s in Advanced Chinese Studies at SOAS University of London. As part of my programme I am currently studying abroad in Hangzhou, while working part-time as a freelance journalist. Prior to this I was doing a BA in English and Politics at the University of York.
I have written for publications including the Financial Times, Singaporean newspapers The Straits Times and The New Paper, current affairs magazine Broader Perspectives, music magazines HeadFirst4Music and Circulation, and campus newspaper Nouse.
In my free time, I dabble in graphic design, video editing and coding. I am proficient in English and Mandarin Chinese.
